J. Dean Marion is a Partner in The Crown Companies, LLC. Mr. Marion’s primary responsibilities for The Crown Companies, LLC are commercial property leasing, management and finance.

In February of 2002, Mr. Marion opened the Cary office of The Crown Companies, LLC. Prior to this, Mr. Marion spent 12 years in the banking industry with his primary focus on commercial real estate financing, particularly retail, multi-family and office. The first five and a half years of his banking career was spent in Chapel Hill and Durham with Bank of America (formerly NCNB), the next five and a half years in Durham and Charlotte with Central Carolina Bank (CCB), and the last year in Durham with Branch Banking and Trust (BB&T).

Mr. Marion received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1984 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He received his MBA from the University of South Carolina in 1988. He lives in Cary, North Carolina, where he is active in youth organizations, serving as a tutor and basketball coach. He is married to Mandy Marion and has two sons, JD and Michael.
